Lebanon

Conflict in Syria has forced millions of people to seek sanctuary in neighbouring countries. In 2016, we launched our first school feeding programme in the Middle East to help feed some of the growing number of Syrian refugee children living in Lebanon, alongside their Lebanese classmates.

Amid the carnage and uncertainty of conflict, Mary’s Meals can provide a glimmer of hope for these children, by bringing them back into the classroom with a nutritious daily meal.

Our work

We serve meals to children attending school in Antelias, five kilometres north of Beirut, at a community centre in the Aley District of Mount Lebanon, to the south east of Beirut, and at an informal education centre located in the Bourj el-Barajneh refugee settlement in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
