Little Acts of Love from Calgary, Alberta

Meet one of our local volunteers, Min

Mary's Meals is well known for our work being comprised of "lots of little acts of love". We're happy to share one recent example from Calgary, Alberta.

Volunteer, Min, from Calgary

This June, volunteer, Min, has been attending night markets in Calgary to sell her handmade bookmarks with a donation to Mary's Meals for every bookmark sold.

Min said she knew she wanted to support something meaningful when she started making the bookmarks and was searching for charities to support. When she came across Mary's Meals, she was amazed at how a little could do so much!

Min said she feels passionate about the work of Mary's Meals and we're grateful to volunteers like her who take their talents and passions and use them to help feed hungry children a daily meal at school.

If you are looking for ways to support the work of Mary's Meals, one of the best places to start is to look at your own interests and talents and see how you can use them to help contribute to our vision - that every child receives at least one daily meal in their place of education, and that all those who have more than they need share with those who lack even the most basic things.

Just 16 cents/day or $31.70 per year provides a daily meal to children in some of the world's poorest communities. If you need help to get started, please reach out to our Partnerships Manager, Jenna Fulton at jenna.fulton@marysmeals.org
