Volunteering with Mary's Meals can take many forms and offers meaningful opportunities to use your unique skills and interests. Our volunteers continually inspire us with their creativity, generosity and willingness to take action.
Some volunteers support activities that are organized by Mary's Meals Canada, while others create their own fundraising events or simply find ways to share the story of Mary's Meals in their everyday lives. However you choose to get involved, you'll help raise awareness and provide life-changing school meals for children around the world.
You might host a movie night, run a marathon, give a presentation at your local school, church or community group, organize a bake sale, start a book club featuring our books, or simply share our stories on social media. Whatever your passion, there's a place for you in the Mary's Meals family.
Whether you can give five minutes or five hours each month, your time can make a real difference. Together, we can help ensure that poverty and hunger no longer stand in the way of a child's education.
Inspiration from one of our Canadian volunteers
In Calgary, Alberta, volunteer Min turned a creative hobby into a way to help feed hungry children. She began making handmade bookmarks and selling them at local night markets, donating the proceeds to Mary's Meals.
When Min was looking for a charity to support, she was inspired by how far a small gift can go. Knowing that just $31.70 can provide a child with daily school meals for an entire school year, she decided to use her talents to make a difference.
Min's story reminds us that volunteering doesn't have to mean giving up lots of your time. Whether you enjoy crafting, baking, running, speaking, organizing events or simply sharing stories online, your interests and skills can help provide hope and opportunity for children around the world. Every act of generosity, no matter how small, helps move us closer to a world where every child receives a daily meal in their place of education.
