Things to Remember When Collecting Donations

To ensure donations are processed quickly and donors are thanked promptly:

• Submit all funds raised as soon as possible.
• Include records of all donations received.
• Keep track of how much your group has raised.
• When submitting donation forms, please sign them whenever possible.
• Under no circumstances should a Mary's Meals Canada community ambassador or volunteer team open a separate bank account for fundraising proceeds.
• All funds raised must be submitted directly to the Mary's Meals Canada office in Calgary.

Alberta Fundraising Requirements Only

If you are fundraising in Alberta, provincial regulations require that donors be provided with specific information about the charity.

Please display the following information at fundraising tables, displays, and events:

The purpose of the corporation is:

• To relieve poverty in the world's poor communities by providing food to children.
• To provide relief for those suffering as a result of humanitarian crises, especially orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children.
• To support initiatives that enable poor families and communities to effectively satisfy the basic needs of their children on a sustainable basis.
• To educate and inform the public in Canada and worldwide about poverty issues through conferences and seminars.

We are dedicated to our commitment to spend at least 93% of all funds received on these charitable activities.
