Today, thanks to your support, Mary’s Meals is reaching 2,429,182 of the world’s poorest children, providing them with a good meal each day that they attend school.

As Mary’s Meals moves closer to the milestone of feeding one million children every school day, we’re very excited that HarperCollins is releasing a book, The Shed that Fed a Million Children, written by our founder and CEO Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow.

From a small shed in Dalmally, Argyll, in 1992, Magnus asked for donations of aid for a one-off trip to war-torn Bosnia-Herzegovina. What happened in the weeks, months and years that followed not only surprised Magnus, but inspired tens of thousands of people across the world to join a movement that could one day mark the end of child hunger.

The Shed that Fed a Million Children charts the remarkable journey so far.

The great news is that you can pre-order the book now, meaning you’ll be one of the first to read this remarkable story when it’s published on May 21st! Meet the people who inspired and grew this work. Read about the little acts of love that have made this work possible.
