A delicious (turkey and hamburger soups with bread) lunch was prepared, with ice cream for dessert. Beforehand, information about Mary's Meals was shared with parishioners, and during the meal, more information was shared, reminding attendees how little it costs to feed a child in Malawi a daily meal for one year ($16!). A silver collection basket was also circulated during the lunch. This lunch raised a total of $1,000 for hungry children in Malawi.

Thanks to Christ the King Church, 62 children can receive a daily, nutritious lunch of their own, every day, in a place of education. They will be able to attend school and focus on their studies, instead of worrying about where their next meal will be coming from.

We like to say Mary's Meals is a simple idea that works, and thank you to Christ the King Church for showing us all how a simple lunch can make a big difference to so many.

There are many different ways you can help by donating your time, money, thoughts and prayers.
