Supporters in Courtenay, BC enjoyed a porridge meal to appreciate what children in some countries where Mary's Meals is served eat every day. A nutritious porridge is served to over a million children every day in countries like Malawi and Zambia. Called "likuni phala" in Malawi, "CSB (Corn-Soya Blend)" in Zambia, many children enjoy the benefit of a daily porridge meal to enable them to go to school and get enough food to eat.

Christ the King Parish recently served a porridge dinner, and collected donations to feed children. This simple meal raised enough money to feed over 95 children a daily meal at school, for one year! Thank you to Mary Nicholas, Jen Jangula and everyone who made this fundraiser a terrific success. Because of your efforts, these 95 children will be able to attend school and gain an education for a better future, instead of worrying about where their next meal is coming from.

If your church, school or group would like to organize a fundraiser for Mary's Meals, you can always contact us for support. Every $22 raised feeds a child for one year, so it's easy to make a big difference to those who don't have enough food to eat, or access to education.

There are many different ways you can help by donating your time, money, thoughts and prayers.
