11 Year Old from Burlington Sharing with Mary’s Meals

11-year old Ethan from Burlington is showing he cares about other children just like him - children who have fewer opportunities than he does - by sharing what he has with them.

Ethan's grandmother tells Mary's Meals Canada that Ethan has been raised to share what he has with those who are less fortunate. That's why he has a special bank for the money he earns. The bank has 3 compartments - "Save", "Share" and "Spend". Last month, Ethan chose to donate his "Share" portion to Mary's Meals, to help feed children who don't have enough to eat, and to give them an opportunity to go to school.

Ethan plans to continue to support Mary's Meals through his simple savings bank. We are grateful for Ethan's example, and for others like Ethan who are committed to the Mary's Meals vision - that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education, and that those who have more than they need share with those who lack even the most basic things.
