Guided by values of simplicity, service, hope, and good stewardship, Mary’s Meals feeds more than 3 million children every school day, helping them learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

About the Director of Impact Partnerships role

Specifically, in this role you’d be responsible for:

Major Gifts & Partnership Development

  • Building and managing a high-quality major gifts portfolio.
  • Identifying, cultivating, and soliciting HNWIs, foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Creating tailored proposals using MMC’s global impact materials.
  • Hosting meetings, attending events, and building long-term trust with donors.
  • Developing a comprehensive prospecting and cultivation strategy for the coming years.

  • Representing Mary’s Meals at events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • Thrives on connecting donors with meaningful impact.
  • Builds credibility and trust quickly with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Is energized by long-term cultivation and complex donor relationships.
  • Communicates with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
  • Values stewardship, simplicity, humility, and impact-driven work.
  • Resonates deeply with Mary’s Meals’ mission and values.
  • Presents with professionalism, class, and strong interpersonal presence; is well spoken, polished, and able to represent Mary’s Meals with credibility across high-net-worth and culturally diverse environments.
  • Demonstrates strong relationship intelligence and the ability to build rapport across different faith backgrounds, including Catholic donors and other traditions.
  • Shows resilience, persistence, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage donor timelines without personalizing rejection or delays.
  • Thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and is resourceful, creative, and self-directed.
  • Is comfortable working fully remotely with high autonomy and minimal oversight.

What You Bring

You bring:

  • 5+ years of progressive major gifts experience with a track record of six-figure fundraising.
  • Experience working with HNWIs, foundations, corporations, and small businesses.
  • A strong portfolio management approach, with CRM proficiency.
  • Excellent proposal writing and donor communication skills.
  • Experience contributing to organizational strategy.
  • Comfort representing an organization publicly through presentations and events.
  • Ability to travel across Canada, as required.
  • A “hunter” mindset; proactively pursuing new donor relationships and opportunities rather than waiting for leads.
  • Experience in acquiring new business or donors, not only in stewarding existing ones.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and prioritization skills.
  • CFRE designation (or in progress) is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license (required).

If you meet some but not all of these requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We are looking for passionate and committed individuals who are willing to learn and grow in the community.

The position begins as a one-year contract with the intention of transitioning into a full-time, permanent role based on performance and fundraising milestones, with a targeted start date in early 2026. It is a full-time, non-unionized, fully remote vacancy open to candidates across Canada, with a preference for those located in the GTA, Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver area and includes periodic travel for donor meetings, events, and stakeholder engagements.

The salary for this role is $85,000 annually plus an 8% pension allotment, accompanied by full health benefits and an annual $1,500 health spending account. The compensation package includes 25 vacation days per year, one additional day awarded for each full year of service up to five years, and the option to purchase an additional week of vacation.
